Session Description: Kickstarter, the world's largest funding community, has helped bring 70,000 new ideas to life over the past five years, with 7 million people pledging over $1.3 billion dollars to creative projects. Kickstarter's new headquarters is a former pencil factory in Greenpoint, renovated to be a home for the kinds of creative works that Kickstarter has brought to life over the past five years — everything from independent films to avant garde art to cutting-edge technology. The session will involve a tour of the space, including the theater, art gallery and roof garden, and a discussion about how Kickstarter is funding the future.
